Legends of Tomorrow: “Night of the Hawk” Clip With A Smallville Reference

A preview clip for Thursday night’s Legends of Tomorrow has surfaced — and within it is a direct nod to a Smallville episode. (Yes, DCTV lovers… Smallville existed!)

You can see the clip from “Night of the Hawk” below, where we see that Vandal Savage is using the alias “Dr. Curtis Knox” – a reference to the character Dean Cain played in the Smallville episode “Cure.” Originally, “Cure” was to be named “Savage” and the villain was to be Vandal Savage rather than Curtis Knox, but somewhere along the line, permission could not be given.
